The Rock & Roll Beach Club was another dance club on Pleasure Island in Orlando and it closed its doors in February 2008 after being in operation since April 1990. Today, Pleasure Island has been renovated with a retail store and restaurant theme and given the name, "The Landing." The dance clubs, Adventurer's Club and jazz clubs are all a thing of the past. Cleo's Gentlemans Club has closed its doors recently. The Pulse Nightclub received notoriety in recent months when a lone gunman went inside the club and killed many of its patrons.
